Vilniaus Plan, the company that has been planning the city of Vilnius and digitising it for more than a quarter of a century, since 1996, is changing its visual identity – from now on it becomes ID Vilnius.
“According to Rūta Klevėnė, Director of Vilniaus planas, for many years the company has been seen in the public space as a design and territorial planning company, and the old brand was well suited for this, but as the company’s activities expanded, the renewal was particularly necessary.
“Today, the majority of our company’s projects are related to urban data, and the new visual identity was chosen to reflect this, much more in line with our current activities, future goals and strategic positioning.
“ID Vilnius is also connected to the identity of the city, as our activities help to grow Vilnius and contribute to the changing identity of the city,” says R. Klevėnė.
100% of the company’s shares are owned by Vilnius City Municipality. Its Director of Administration, Adomas Bužinskas, supports the changes to the company’s visual identity and has no doubt that this will help to make the company more efficient.
“The company’s expanded package of services has not been in line with the existing image of Vilnius Plan for some time, so the updated visual identity will help to better reflect the activities and goals of a growing and transforming organisation,” says A. Bužinskas, Director of Vilnius City Municipality Administration.

The new ID Vilnius brand is distinguished by its striking visual tools: it combines abstract elements with the city’s symbol – Gediminas Castle. The logo depicts a stylised outline of Gediminas Castle, which reflects modern data collection and processing, but also demonstrates the connection to the city that is maintained.
The logo is dominated by three main colours: dark blue, blue and green. The blue colour illustrates the company’s expertise and solidity, while the green colour is associated with its continuous growth, development and responsibility. Green is also the colour of greenery and sustainability, which is relevant to the company’s work in developing smart city solutions.
According to the company’s CEO, the change in visual identity is one of the changes already underway and planned for the company. The intention is to focus on the application of artificial intelligence in data analyses, including the monitoring of the city’s master plan and the inventory of trees and plantations. “ID Vilnius will continue to provide spatial planning and design services.
“Our goals are to develop digital solutions for good urban functioning. We are implementing the data policy of Vilnius City Municipality, and in the future we want to become a smart data centre and a competent and reliable partner for the development of the city”, says R. Klevėnė.
“ID Vilnius has been providing spatial planning, design, GIS system support and maintenance, UAV inspection and data management services for 27 years.
