The new Board, made up of four professionals, was elected for a 4-year term of office and will serve until 1 March 2028. “ID Vilnius Board consists of four members, three of whom are independent: Emilija Toleikė – CFO of UAB Pandos, Paulius Samoška – CEO of UAB Baltics medical and member and CEO of MB Familia holding, Skirmantas Mačiukas – CEO of UAB Circle K Lietuva, and Laura Kairienė – Chief Architect of Vilnius City. He stressed the importance of the development of Vilnius’ virtual twin. “We bring different competences to the newly formed board that will help ID Vilnius to become a data-driven urban living and development company that is able to create and manage digital solutions for the sustainable and innovative functioning of the city,” said Mr Samoška. 100% of the company’s shares are owned by Vilnius City Municipality. Adomas Bužinskas, Director of Administration, highlighted the development of the virtual tools already developed by ID Vilnius and sustainable urban planning. “Together with the municipality’s Innovation and Technology Group, ID Vilnius has already laid a strong foundation in digitising data and creating virtual tools for citizens. We now look forward to a stronger focus on further improving the usability and accessibility of the tools developed for the widest possible use. Sustainable urban planning is another challenge facing the company, and the biggest expectation for the design and planning of urban areas, movement and service provision is to ensure that these principles are a priority in creating a comfortable life for Vilnius residents,” said Bužinskas. ID Vilnius, which has been operating since 1996, provides the city with spatial planning, design, GIS system support and maintenance, UAV inspection and data management services.
